Gudog is an app which matches dog owners with trusted sitters and walkers in the area. We have built a community of 1000s of lovely doggo caregivers, and we’re always looking for new people to join the pack.
What do I get from Gudog?
1. A free profile on the Gudog website
This is super important for generating bookings for you. Your profile will have plenty of space for you to include a description about your and your experience with dogs. You can upload loads of photos of your and furry friends you’ve cared for before, your home and garden if you’re a sitter, and a piccie of your face.
You’ll also be able to set and display the services and rates you are willing to offer Gudog dog owners, and any reviews posted about you will show up on your profile once they’ve been posted and verified by our team.
It’ll also position you in Google red so you’re searchable by dog owners in the UK.
2. Support with your bookings
At Gudog, we’ve got a team of people waiting to help you with any questions you have about your bookings and potential doggo-clients. We’re here whenever you need us; before, during and after any bookings you complete.
3. Secure payments, within the Gudog app
You can access all funds related to a booking 24 hours after completion. The difficult part is deciding what to spend it on.
4. Veterinary insurance
Every booking you accept and receive payment for via Gudog will be covered by veterinary insurance in case of emergency.
As a Gudog dog sitter or walker, you do have some obligations, which we’ve listed out here for you:
1. You must manage your bookings through Gudog
If you’ve got a tip top profile, you will receive messages from dog owners interested in leaving their pooch with you while they’re away or asking you to walk them while they’re at work. Please ensure you keep all communication with possible clients within the Gudog private message service. This is closely monitored and we’re afraid we will have to suspend accounts where we suspect offline activity is occurring.
2. Only share personal information once a booking is confirmed in the Gudog app
This obligation applies, unless you’d prefer to meet before the booking takes place to assess compatibility, or to allow your pooch and a dog you are caring for to meet.
Every message that contains contact information will be flagged to the Gudog team for verification which can sometimes take a couple of hours.
3. Never accept Gudog owner’s dog into your care if you do not have a booking confirmed on your Gudog profile
The pooch won’t be insured, and if any accidents happen, you will be liable to cover all associated costs.
