Sam Simon, terminally ill Simpson’s co-creator will donate fortune

“The Simpsons” co-creator, Sam Simon, is battling terminal colon cancer and has just three to six months to live. Heartbreaking news, but how it is related to the world of pets, you may ask?

Sam Simon established The Sam Simon Foundation,a foundation that fight for the integration and socialisation of abandoned and rescued dogs. Those dogs are trained to help people with hearing problems, alerting them when someone is knocking on the door, the phone is ringing and any other daily situation we take for granted but which can become frustrating for people with a hearing impairment.

Upon finding out that he has a couple of months left, he decided to donate his fortune to various causes. Among those are The Sam Simon Foundation, to which he has left $23 bln, and PETA, the world-famous organisation fighting for Animal Rights

The truth is, I have more money than I’m interested in spending.

Everyone in my family is taken care of. And I enjoy this.

Surely most of you grew up watching the stories by Sam Simon at 6pm on Channel 4. Actually, most of us probably still does.

Gudog team wishes you a good journey, Sam.
